CAIRO – 8 March 2017: Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan will be honored at the closing ceremony of the Luxor African Film Festival that starts on March 16, the festival organizers and the Indian embassy

(PTI) Bachcchan will arrive in Luxor on March 20, accompanied by his wife Jaya Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda.

Bachchan’s last visit to Egypt was in 2015, when he inaugurated the third round of ‘India by the Nile,’ a yearly festival organized by the Indian Embassy in Cairo.

The 72-year-old star visited Egypt for the first time in 1975 to shoot a film. He has a legacy of more than 200 movies over four decades.

The sixth round of Luxor African Film Festival will be held March 16 to 22. It will honor Egyptian actress Nelly Karim, Moroccan actor Mohamed Moftah and Mauritanian producer Abderrahmane Sissako, among others.
